The series opener will feature Chris Capuano matched up against Mike Leake. There is a good chance that the Dodgers will face Cincinnati once more in the playoffs, so expect the Dodgers to send the big guns against Leake. Fortunately, the Cincinnati righty has been struggling. In his last 28.2 IP, Leake has given up 21 runs, tacking on 11 of those runs over his last two starts. Capuano is coming off an impressive performance against San Diego, but there should be some caution as he struggled prior to the Dodgers hosting the Padres. Game time will be at 4:10 PDT on Primeticket.
The Dodgers magic number remains twelve since the Diamondbacks beat the Giants last night. If the Dodgers gain some ground in this series, they’ll head back home to face the D’backs and could potentially clinch the division by next Wednesday.
